Bought the bike from Bardwell Yamaha in Ms. in the late spring of 2007. On my son's first ride he broke his arm ( he never crashed, just over jumped a table top and snapped his radius and ulna). The bike sat in the garage for the rest of the year, where I started it up occasionally to prevent fuel varnishing. We have raced all the Texas MX Championship rounds (Cycle Ranch), amateur day at Freestone and practiced on it about three rides. The bike cant have over ten hours. Never crashed on, never even tipped over in a corner. My son is going to race the last round at Cycle Ranch on July 20 and the bike will be available after that race. We are going to try the fuel injected Kawi for 2009. I hope it will be at least half way as reliable as this bike has been. Its no secret Bardwell sells em cheap, so I in turn can sell it cheap. I purchased this bike a few months ago with the Marzocchi fork upgrade and immediately threw away the stock motor.The retail price on bike with the fork uprade was $2450.00. I discarded the new stock motor and in its place is a new 146 motor with a lifan BVH ( big valve head )that's been ported and polished by CAT 5 motorsports with a Z40 cam and hd valve springs, and 12.5 high compression piston. It has the EBC hd clutch plates and springs from T-bolt USA, AHP billet dress up kit, lightened flywheel/slinger, carbon fiber ignition cover, 26mm genuine Mikuni with a port matched TB intake with a TB k&n style chrome air filter. Jetting is a crisp 190 main, 25 pilot. New blue plastic with Yamaha of Troy graphics, This bike is "NOT A TOY". Im not desperate to sell the bike and I am not in a financial bind. All low counter offers will be ignored. This is a full race motor that dyno's at 15.9 horsepower. The motor alone cost $1500.00. We went to the Freestone MX nationals and were entered in the 11-15 youth class and the plus 30 class. My son who was to race the bike in the youth class got hurt on amateur day on his big bike and could not race the bike at the pit bike nationals on sat. 85 exper rider Jacob Turbyfill from San Antonio hopped on the bike and placed third against full race klx 110's that cost three times as much as this bike. I raced it in the plus 30 class but had to pull off. It was too fast for me and tired me out. The bike has about 15 laps of time on it. The cheap OEM rear tire needs replacing as it did not hold up against all the horsepower and new engine break in runs down the street. Ill throw in a new rear tire for the purchaser.
